Origin of the play is the documented case of Anna Lehnkering, called Änne, who was a patient in the psychiatric hospital Bedburg-Hau from 1936 to 1940. She was murdered in Grafeneck on March 7 in 1940. A theatrical examination of a subject which hasn`t been talked about for a long time in German history - the inhuman rejection of everything which does not suit the norm, which is different and alien. Startlingly current.
